My mom it watching some movie where they show only Hallmark commercials right now... and it's driving me crazy... and she won't let me change the channel. Right now I can picture millions of women going, "This commercial is so beautiful!!!" 7:57 pm	Update?!?!?!?! Yeah, I know it's been awhile, but I figured why not, alot has happened. Christmas was ok, I got RCT3 (OMG COASTERS!) and an MP3 player (OMG MUSIC!). Since my computer is too old and crappy to run RCT3, we had to put it on my mom's laptop, which means I only get to play it when my mom needs her computer. Oh well, at least I have RCT2 when I need a fix and the laptop is unavailable. Shortly after Christmas, I have a little surgery. Bye-bye wisdom teeth. The surgery wasn't that bad, it didn't hurt at all, but it got annoying quick when I couldn't use a straw, eat solid food, eat hot stuff, and open or close my mouth all the way. It's gotten better, my face isn't that swollen much anymore, and I'm eating more normally. Still not 100% normal yet. New Years / my 18th birthday was ok. Since I still wasn't feeling all that well, I spent New Year's Eve at home, but my parents got me my birthday gift a day early, a new DDR pad and a game. It just so happens that she bought one I already have. Oh well, I spent New Years watching TV, playing RCT3, and DDRMax2. The next day, my parents exchanged the game I already had for DDRExtreme. Let's see... I already AA'd Only You on Heavy, and B'd Drop Out on Heavy. Oh yeah, I still got it. 10:55 am	Whoa... AN UPDATE! Once again, I get too lazy to update, but here I am! An update! (Minh should be getting a notice about this...) Well Oz is undeniably, and reliably DEAD. We had to do BND one more time for the "official" opening of the new theater. Basically we did a couple scenes for donors of the new theater. Figures on the final time I ever sing that song in front of an audience, I screw up the words. It went alittle something like this... Me: Everybody come out Company: Wake up! Me: Into the morning into happiness! For those of you that don't know the lines, I was supposed to say "Everybody wake up", not "come out". Well on another note, "That other amusement park in northern Ohio" just announced their new ride: Delirium - The Clone! Don't believe me? Take a look... 8:21 pm	Free Time? What's that? Well once again, a long streak with no posts. The primary reason being TX. Opening night was cool, I got to see Ariel right there front row center, got to perform for my cousins in the back row, and the only down-side was that my mic wasn't working properly for BND (Brand New Day). Oh well. That night, everyone was dead tired, so no party was held. Saturday: We came in, performed again, and it was an overall pretty good show. Nothing too spectacular. The party after was cool though. It was at Kleuner's house (how do you spell it?), AKA "the guy with the water bazooka"'s house. As I walked up to the house, I called my mom to tell her I was there, and she told me "we got you a new sweat shirt." OK... I think, what's so big about that, and why did she get one? Well then she told me it was a UC sweater. It dawned on me, I was accepted into UC DAAP. Screw applying to OU, I got my first choice. That started the party off awesome. At the party, we watched Godspell, defied the laws of physics by having a dart go UNDER the bar into another section. We still do not know how that happened. It went in one section, but the tip was in a different one. We were unsure how to score it, so we gave him both. Let's face it, defying physics calls for massive points. After that, we talked for alittle bit about all of our work experiences and drank mass Mountain Dew. One guy told a story about how a toilet at his work place had a piece of shit so large it would flush down the toilet. They had to literally cut it up so it would fit. Of course, I added my dumb PKI guests stories. After that, we went upstairs and watched The Punisher. Had some funny scenes, but not a very good movie. After that, the sun was up again, so we had breakfast. Sleep Time for Party: 0 hours. Sunday was open house for X, and since I hadn't gotten a shower, I went back to my house before open house and took a shower, chilled out abit, then headed back to X once again. Open House was ok, I was only in one scene that we did (BND), so the rest of the time I chilled out and tried to interact with 8th graders, but the BND character isn't nearly as fun to interact with people as. I so wanted to be Uncle Henry so I could do the old man dance, but since they needed me to have my mic on me the whole time, I couldn't change costumes into Uncle Henry. Well, after that I came home and did my homework. Oh, did I mention that was all 2 weekends ago? I haven't even gotten to last weekend. The week was ok, I had 2 days off of TX (Mon and Tues) so I could actually do homework! Tuesday was all spent on that damn economics paper. Coffey came to my house and we spent over 4 hours of work on that paper. That was that night alone, we did work on monday too. Wednesday was our mid-week dress. We got our pics taken for act one, and then got ready for our practice show. Normally there aren't many people there for dress, but it felt like an actual performance. The entire lower level was filled with people. They were either school groups that Scri invited, or teachers who couldn't get tickets. The show SUCKED that night. Thursday was much better. My religion teacher was in the audience that night, and he talked about the show for like 5-10 minutes. The performance was much better today too. We may have sucked on wed, but we fixed our problems for that night. This was also the day the closing weekend party problems began. I was planning a party for that friday, but we found out that Luke Patton was also planning a party for that night, and Katie Woodie was planning closing night. Since Luke wasn't coming back to do Sweeney, I gave it to him. At this time, I did not know Katie's plans, so I started telling people I was having closing night. Then I find out Katie is planning it already, so I give it to her and tell people I will do one for Sweeney. Friday comes along, and we have a great show. I feel like the diner scene is looking really good, and BND is also going well. Uncle Henry becomes my favorite character I've ever done. Well, at the party at Lukes, I decide to bring my PS2 since I wasn't having the party. We play Karaoke Revolution (which my "hunny" Marley wins) and realize that my DDR pad has officially crapped out. We watch Mean Girls, then head to bed. Party Sleep Time: 3 hours I leave Luke's house, and head back home once again, and then head to cast mass at noon. I walk in and see everyone turn around and look at me, and see Rick with a big smile on his face. "Brad, have you checked your messages?" I tell him no, and he says, "Check them please." I turn my cell on, and check voice mail. First 3 messages are old ones from my mom that I was too lazy to check. The 4th was Rick. Here is a rough description of what it said: "Hey Brad, Katie had forgotten to ask her parents if she could have the party, and when she told them, her parents said no. So now we have no party tonight, unless you could have it. We know you were planning a party, so if you could, we would love to have a party at your house. Everyone here would like to tell you something first, (EVERYONE ELSE IN THE ROOM) WE LOVE YOU BRAD!!!" The whole time I'm listening I look at Rick who smiles at me the whole time. Well, after asking why Rick couldn't just tell me instead of telling me to listen to the message, I go outside and call my mom. "Mom, I love you..." The response: "What happened???". Well, I describe the situation to her, and she allows me to have the party with less than a day's notice. Cast mass was ok, except Fr. Feroni didn't show up. There I told people about my insanity theory I came up sophomore year. After eating the amazing food, I drive some people to X for closing night festivities. Here's a rundown of all of my pranks, pranks I pulled on other people, and very VERY good pranks: Prank pulled on me: The notice of forclosure had "MASTURBATION" written in the signature spot. Pranks I pulled on others: During the monkey scene, I did the Godspell hand motion... thing to the audience (TX alum were in the audience) (OK, so it's not a prank, but something extra I added). Also during monkey scene, I took the banannas we eat and rubbed it all over Kyle's face. During the Poppies dance, when they all looked off-stage, there I was, moving my arms in a large up and down motion while doing pelvic thrusts. I think you can figure out what that motion means... Best Pranks: Poppies had a blizzard, because the snow didn't stop falling. Also during Poppies, Drew added the line, "One of these days Glinda, one of these days! POW! Right in the kisser! To the moon Glinda, to the moon!" The Scarecrow's diploma at the end had "BOOBIES" written on it, with dots inside the two O's for an added effect. Well, the party was crazy. I had people in the basement, the middle floor, and the computer room. We rented Young Frankenstein and Waiting for Guffman. Motzie even showed up to the party and sang with us down in the basement. Total sleep time: 4 hours. The next morning, I took a shower, played some YDKJ, and then hurried everyone out of the house to get to strike on Sunday. Strike started off with a mass since we missed it on saturday. At the very end of mass, as we are singing the last song, I hear a loud thud. I think it's just a prop or something falling over, so I keep singing. Shortly after that, I hear that far less people are singing, and then the music cuts out. I look over, and see people rush over to the pit. It turns out that C.J. had fallen into the pit, about a 6-7 foot fall. We call 911, and say a prayer for him. We start work knowing that he is getting help, and start to tear down the set. This is when I sense trouble. I feel tired, weak, and keep coughing up green shit. I find myself going up to the green room and just siting there because of how weak I feel. At the end, we get our posters signed, and I head home. Monday: I make it through the day, even though I am still coughing up green shit, and now my throat is in pain. It hurts to swallow. I talk with my parents at dinner (which was killer, because the chicken we ate hurt my throat). Tuesday: I wake up, my mouth full of the shit. I cough it all up, clear my head, and talk with my mother about it. We take my temp and it is 99.3. Not that high, but I had just gotten up. I stay home from school, and when I wake up again, I head to the doctors. He looks at me, and tests me for strep. It comes back neg, and he tells me it looks more like mono. He tells me he has to wait until friday to test me, so if I still am sick by friday, come in and get tested. Let's put it this way, I watched 2 movies, flew from lunken to sanduskey in a flight simulator, played GTA3, and mostly slept. Well, after that review, time to sleep some more. I need it after these past two weeks. I just wish I could be with Ariel during this and know she wont get whatever I have. 1:21 pm	Hell Week Well once again, sorry about the lack of posts, but hell week was this past week, and I am dead tired. My brain is also fried, which is normal. For those of you that do not know what hell week is, it is the week of opening night. On wednesday of this week, we came up with "The Regression of a TX'ers Mind during Hell Week" It goes as follows: Day 1 (Sunday): "Yay! The show is almost here!" Day 2 (Monday): Ordinary things seem HILARIOUS Day 3 (Tuesday): Hallucinisationesses (AKA Hallucinations) begin to occur Day 4 (Wednesday): Days begin to blur together Day 5 (Thursday): See day 4 Day 6 (Friday): OMFG SHOW!!! Yes, the hallucinisationesses is a reference how intelligent conversation goes down the drain at that day too. It was so bad, when we showed this list to one of the adults, who is an english teacher at our school, she was so out of it (day 4) that she couldn't even put a sentence together in a proper way. Well opening night went pretty well. Em and Henry (me) got a couple good laughs at the start, and I actually got on stage after my quick-change today. The only down part about that night for me was that my body mic for Brand New Day was not working properly. Oh well, it's still opening night, everything can't go right. 4:35 pm	Weekend Review Friday: The Walk for X was fun, I got to scare people by being the flying ninja (I made a ninja head thing out of my shirt and rollerbladed the walk). Also, I got a free shirt from Pat with a RCT2 screenshot on the back (customized shirts for people). After the walk, I met up with Ariel and went to her homecoming game at Walnut. Her school's team sucks, but I had a good time meeting her friends and being with her. One of her friends is a mix between Carson and Steve. Even though some people didn't like my St. X sweater (I had a rock thrown at me), I had fun. Saturday: Woke up, took the SAT, saw a girl I hadn't seen since grade school, then came home and rested up for the dance that night. I drive to her house, and wait for her to come down. I keep hearing her sister say she's getting pretty, and boy was she right. She had this gorgeous black dress on. Well, we head out and go to Cici's for dinner. Now before anyone goes off about taking her there for dinner, we weren't the only ones there in formal clothing, so obviously they were going to a dance too. Well, we have pizza and decide that Cici's has better barbeque pizza sauce than The Works does. We leave, and get to the dance a little early. We walk in, and they ask us to take a small ball out of a bag "for a prize". Well we both pull out a white ball, and they say we didn't win a prize. We later find out that if you pull out an orange ball, you won a brethalizer test. The dance itself wasn't that good, they played almost all rap. (95% about). I did meet more of her friends though, especially one kid who was the William Hung of dancing. All energy, no skills. Sunday: I wake up early again, and head off to PKI. Since TX was cancelled, I could come in and work. Instead of working Beast though, I take a shift at Delirium so I could work with Ariel. I get trained, and then she has to be sent to Skyflyer. A little bit later, she gets to come back because someone shows up (just a bit late), and since he is trained at Skyflyer more than Ariel is, they change spots so we can work with each other. Delirium is a fun ride, but it does a number on your hands. After our shift (and after some tourturing of Ariel by her sups), we head out. We drive to my house, and after some complaining with my mother, we rent Fahrenheit 9/11. If you think Bush is a good president, rent this movie and watch it. Well we get to her house, and her parents yell at her a bit. At least we were both there for each other's verbal beatings. Monday: Begin my 3 days of nothingness! No school until Thursday! 11:02 pm	Help me! Yes, my LJ is asking for help, because it is slowly dying, just like my last one. I'll try to keep this one going though, I don't need another dead blog lying around again. Well anyways, life is getting better. I'm getting ready to do the applications to college, when I found out the colleges I am going to apply to don't need essays or activity sheets. Pride night on friday was fun, no lines at all. I also got to ride Xtreme Skyflyer between 2 lesibans. That was an odd experience, especially when they told each other they loved the other on our way up. I have also started playing FFX again. I got to the final battle between me and Sin, and I'll tell you when I beat the game. Hopefully it happens before the end of the week. I quickly looked at the cinematic for the fight, and it looks kick ass. I just hope I built up my characters enough to beat it. Other stuff aside, I miss Ariel alot. It seems like ages since I've been able to be with her. At least we have this long weekend coming up to be together. I've been thinking about her non-stop. 10:31 pm	Wow... My life is so full of highs and lows right now. One day I can be on the verge of breakdown from applying to college, financial issues, school, theater, and work all at the same time, and then the next day I can be in Heaven with Ariel in my arms. Yesterday was hard, because I learned I had a paper due, a lab due, 2 tests, AND a short story to read for tuesday. And at rehearsal, we began doing work on Brand New Day, AKA my big song. It was funny because I was sitting next to a freshman, and they were learning the chrous part and when we all were to sing together, I sang the solo parts (as I was supposed to). Well this freshman taps me on the shoulder in mid-sentence and trys to tell me I'm not supposed to sing. Well Scri sees me try to tell him I am one of the featured singers, and tells me to move with the other singers (If only I knew we were gonna work on that song, due to the weird schedule, I would've in the first place). Well I hope that freshman felt embassased (J/K). Well today started allright, just a normal day at school. Economics rolls around though, and my teacher allows Coffey to play with the Smart Board. He doodles on the picture of the stock, and writes "I <3 Mr. J" on the board. Gotta love Coffey in the morning. After that, a normal day as always, until the pep rally. The blue monster's "Primal Roar" was announced (sounds strangly like Howard Dean), and we got to laugh at the guy in the "Furby on Crack" costume, AKA the Blue Monster costume. I drove to Ariel's house, and waited for her to get there. She shows up, and we chill at her house for a bit waiting to figure out what we will do. We decide to avoid her little sisters and head out to the Museum Center. We saw Harry Sand there, and her old co-workers. God that's gotta be a hard job. The Children's Museum (the one she worked in) was a mad house! I also found out she gets scared REALLY easily. I'm trying to get her to go to Fear Fest, but with how jumpy she is. Well after it, we sat in my car listening to a cd I made. I love her so much. Well time to try to get my paper and lab done this weekend! 5:43 pm	SORRY! Well due to my computer dying from a virus, we had to work on it a bit, and got it back up again. Now it's time to summarize more than a week's stuff into one post! Yay! Things between Areil and I are getting better, even though we keep getting in trouble with our parents about staying up really late with each other. We went to The Works, a really good pizza restaurant here in Loveland, and it's a fancy place, well, as fancy as a pizza place can be. While we were waiting for a table, the two of us went walking for about a half hour down the bike trail nearby. Well yet another year has started, and so has another show at TX (Theater Xavier for those not in the know). The Wizard of Oz officially started today, with our read-through of the script. The auditions on the other hand were wed and thurs. It was bitter-sweet though. My audition went well, I got some good laughs from the judges from my song ("What do you do with a B.A. in English?") and did pretty well in the dance part IMO. Right after me, Ariel goes and sings her heart out. I felt so proud that she was able to build up the courage to sing in front of other people. Here is the bitter-sweet part. I get called up and am handed the piece of paper that says I'm being considered for a role and I'm getting called back for day 2 of auditions. Sadly though, Ariel gets the dreaded third paper which says you are not being considered. Well after that dissappointment, I drive her home and we depart. Day 2: At call backs, I get a look at my competition for the part of the Lion. There is a total of 3 people being considered for the part; Me, Rick Coffey, and Josh Borths (the freshman brother of Mattie Borths, one of the best seniors we had last year). I figure that I could beat out Josh, but Rick is a completly different situation. In Joseph, I was company with no featured parts. Rick on the other hand WAS Joseph. Let's put it this way, Joe is Lion. I on the other hand didn't get screwed out that much. I have a speaking part at the start as Uncle Henry (about the same number of lines I had in Red Noses), and the biggest surprise, a FEATURED singing part in "Brand New Day" (a song from The Wiz, another show based on the Wizard of Oz). The song has 4 featured singers, 2 juniors, 2 seniors. Well this is going to be interesting, my first time singing in a show where I am the ONLY voice being heard for a part. Finally, school is going well, except for History. I'm doing well on quizes, but keep getting raped on tests. On the other hand, I have a 95 in Calculus. Now I have just one question: HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN??? Not only that, I have an 88 in Physics. I would have 1st honors if it wasn't for History. Of course, I have heard my teacher massivly curves every year. Well time to finish my homework. Hope you all didn't suffer too much during this week. 9:53 pm	What if? Today was a very weird day for me. It starts off at Scooters, where I find out someone on my crew had been fired that day. Why did he have to have his cell phone? What a dumb thing to do to get fired. At least the ride is overstaffed the rest of the month, but it sucks to lose him. When I get to Beast, I start cleaning. Some guests decide to play "throw ice at the guy cleaning up garbage" and ice goes down my shirt. I look up and a group starts laughing. Normally the group that laughs is the one that did it, but they point out they don't have cups to hold ice. The group behind them on the other hand had 2 cups with ice. I start talking with them, trying to figure out if it was them, and they acted like they did it. The line keeps moving so I walk up to the station and continue our chat up there. I start to ask people around them if they saw them do it, and a few people tell me they did throw ice at me. Witnesses, I have them now. I tell them the news, they gotta leave, but they start to argue. They go, "You don't have any proof! Let me see some video." I explain to them I have witnesses, and they still fight. They get to the train, and I tell them the train won't go if they are in it. Finally they cross over to the exit and start cussing me out. As I walk back down the station to continue cleaning, I have curses directed at me on one side by the group, and "thank you"s and "good job"s on the other from people in line. Definatly was interesting. Well, on my way out of the park, I see someone from my crew last year who works on a different ride now. She tells me a person on my old crew got married yesterday. The thing is, I had a crush on this girl, and she had a crush on me. I was going to ask her out one night, and I never got a chance. I find out just a day or two later she asked another guy out the day after that day. It turns out she was waiting for me to ask her out and she would have said yes, but since I didn't she asked the other guy out. Well, not the other guy and her are married. It really makes me think what would have happened if I had asked her out that night. No matter what, that is in the past, and I have Ariel. I care so much about her, and hope this relationship doesn't end like others I have had. Current Mood: thoughtful (Comment on this)
